Administrative responsibilities included generation, review and correction of certification procedures and maintenance documentation for the ATC&LS radar systems.
Responsibilities included operation, maintenance and repair of the RIR-778X Instrumentation Tracking Radar and the Improved Nike Hercules Air Defense Guided Missile System. Additional duties involved development of modifications to update the latter mentioned system for a new mission requirement.
Primary responsibilities included troubleshooting, repairing and certifying the Navy's AN/SPN-42A Automatic Carrier Landing System. Additional duties included performing inspections and overhauls, developing and installing test fixtures and field changes and providing technical assistance aboard aircraft carriers and at Naval Air Stations.
Management responsibilities included instructing and supervising personnel in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing on-site radar and communications systems including AN/FPN-36, AN/UPX-27, AN/UPA-59A, AN/FRA-11, AN/GRT-21/22 and AN/GRR-23/24. Administrative duties included setting up and implementing periodic maintenance schedules and training programs for all onsite equipment. Technical Responsibilities included maintenance, repair and fault isolation of radar and transponder systems AN/UPS-1F, AN/TPN-8A and AN/TPX-42A(V)5. These systems employed analog and digital technology in short- and long-range Air Traffic Control applications.
